TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE IN LEO // AUGUST 21st, 2017 EXPERIENCING THE ECLIPSE IN CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA
Last week's total Solar Eclipse was an incredible sight to see and an even more incredible to have experienced firsthand. It truly was a once in a lifetime experience!
I luckily enough live in Charleston, South Carolina, which was the last US city that the moon's shadow passed over in totality, blocking out all light on the ground below for one minute and thirty eight seconds.
The entire event happened very quickly, around 20-30 minutes for the show of it. I admittedly didn't have the proper equipment to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and eclipse (IE solar glasses or filters), but I got by with know-how and experience.
Using my 70-200mm I was able to stop down and zoom in on a tripod, and hunker down with my puppy Mucca as we laid in the grass and watched the cosmos entertain us with it's wonder.
Enjoy the photographs!
